John Cramer

Mr. John Blackburn Cramer, 77 of South VanWert Road, Villa Rica, GA passed away, Sunday, April 8, 2012 at his residence following his battle with cancer. He was born, May 29, 1934 in Savannah, Georgia the son of the late Harold Cramer and the late Mrs. Frances Blackburn Cramer. He received his law degree from John Marshall University in 1964. He was an Insurance Claims adjuster and was an active member of the Atlanta Claims Association. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Villa Rica and the Friendship Sunday School Class. He also served as a Deacon and Sunday School Director. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving on active duty and active reserve for 16 years. Survivors include his wife, of 56 years, Sue Ivey Cramer of Villa Rica, son and daughter in law, David and Kimberly Jeffers Cramer of Villa Rica, grandson, Jeffrey Cramer of Villa Rica. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 11:00 AM from the Graveside at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens with Rev. Jeff Powell officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Jeffrey Cramer, Tim Jeffers, Charles Ivey, Denny Ivey, Danny Oliver, Frank Richardson, Robert Todd and Jeff Matthews. The U.S. Marine Corps Honor Guard will provide Military honors. Interment will follow in the Meadowbrook Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Tanner Hospice Care, Post Office Box 1136, Carrollton, Georgia, 30112 or the First Baptist Church of Villa Rica Building Fund, 1483 West Hwy 78, Villa Rica, Georgia 30180.
