Mr. John Duard Huey, age 86, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010 at WellStar Tranquility Hospice in Austell. He was born October 9, 1924 in Acworth, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. John Harvey Huey and the late Mrs. Nellie Mae Twiggs Huey. He honorably served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. He worked as a floor covering subcontractor. Mr. Huey was a member of Prayâs Mill Baptist Church in Douglasville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William R. Huey and sisters, Eva Jean Bannister and Lois Argo. He is survived by his loving wife, Sara Ann Clark Huey of Douglasville; his son and daughter-in-law, Randal Bruce and Lee Huey of Marietta; stepdaughters and stepson-in-law, Elizabeth Adams of Albany and Jennifer and Steve Karst of Leesburg; stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Richard Millwood of Winston, Thomas and Dimi Williams of Albany, and Edward Williams of Douglasville; 8 step grandchildren; 7 step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Monday, December 13, 2010 from 4:00 PM from 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Paine, Rev. Joey Rainwater, and Rev. Josh Buice officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Douglasville. The following will serve as pallbearers: Ken Argo, Ronnie Huey, Mike Huey, Little Ronnie Huey, Scott Bannister, and Kerry Bannister. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Argo and members of Open Bible Class from Prayâs Mill Baptist Church. Military Honors will be rendered by members of the Georgia National Guard Honor Guard.
