John Perry Gossett, Sr.Mr. John Perry Gossett, Sr., age 66, of Villa Rica, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014. He was born March 15, 1948 in Marietta, GA the son of the late Mr. Samuel Franklin Gossett and the late Mrs. Josephine Elizabeth Beck Gossett. He was retired from the United States Marine Corps.He is survived by his wife, Nancy James Gossett of Villa Rica; son and daughter-in-law, John Perry Gossett, Jr. and Laura Gossett of Douglasville; daughter, Nicole Gossett of Chattanooga, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Cherrie and Bill Whiting of Greenville, S.C.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Wanda Gossett of Cartersville, Terry and Betty Gossett of Dallas, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Whiting officiating.
