John Johnston

Mr. John Franklin Johnston, age 76, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born June 20, 1935 in Columbus, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Robert Lee Johnston and the late Mrs. Gladis Burdett Johnston. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Johnston worked as an I. B. E. W Local 613 union electrician. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anna Joyce Johnston of Villa Rica; three daughters, Cynthia Renee Freels of Speedwell, TN, Linda Joyce Demedicis of Tyrone, GA; and Stacey Lee Newbern of Springfield, TN; son, John Franklin Johnston, II of Villa Rica; sister, Lucielle Halford of Morrow, GA; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
