John Richards

Mr. John Scribner Richards, age 69, of Carrollton, passed away, Thursday, August 17, 2017. He was born September 14, 1947 in Indianapolis, IN the son of the late Mr. John Smith and Mrs. Betty Jean Vogel McDermott. Mr. Richards was a salesman for Richard Haney Ford for many years. He was a member of the Bicentennial Committee of Villa Rica and was a former writer and photographer for the Villa Rican Newspaper. He also had accomplished wood working. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jaime and Michael Best of Villa Rica; son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Jill Richards of Bowdon; mother, Betty Jean Vogel McDermott of Tamp, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Wanda Richards of Carrollton; eight grandchildren, Noah Best, Sydney Richards, Carson Richards, Jasper Best, Caleb Richards, Alasha Richards, Ashanti Richards and Alana Richards; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Monday, August 21, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Monday, August 21, 2017 at 6:00 PM with Rev.
