Mr. John William âJakeâ Stubblefield, Jr., 92, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Monday, November 10, 2014. He was born June 23, 1922 in College Park, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. John William Stubblefield, Sr. and the late Mrs. Inez Hill Stubblefield. He retired as a General Manager in the automotive industry. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John W. Stubblefield, III and his wife, Jo of Douglasville; and Ted William Stubblefield and his wife, Dana of Lithonia; one daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Grady Bishop of Silver Creek; eleven grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Tuesday, November 18, 2014 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Don Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton with military honors provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard.
