Mr. John Allan White, Sr., 84, of Douglasville, Georgia, formerly of Mississippi, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2017 following an extended illness. He was born June 6, 1932 in Washington County, Mississippi the son of the late Mr. Henry Malcolme White and the late Mrs. Miranda Tabitha Reed White. He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of the Church of Christ. He retired as a Branch Manager from Lampton Love Propane. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. A devoted family man, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, yardwork and working on motors of any kind. He was an avid reader for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Kimberly White; sister, Wanda Christine Little; brothers, Clinton Monroe White, Earl Harrison White, and James Ray White. He is survived by two best friends/ex-wives, Jo Ann White and Eva Mae White; two daughters and a son-in-law, Vickie and Michael Raulin of Douglasville and Janet Tuttle of Charleston, SC; two sons and a daughter-in-law, John Allan White, Jr. and Pam White of Vicksburg, MS and Clinton Travis White of Uzhgorod, Ukraine; six grandchildren, Shannon, Ashley, Trey, Brittany, Gatlin, and Krisandra; eleven great-grandchildren, Wrenn, Eli, Luke, Solon, Calhoun, Millie, John Austin, Adler, Hazel, Bryana, and Rowan; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. The family plans to celebrate his life at Woodlawn Baptist Church in Vicksburg, MS on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. John's youngest son, Clinton, is a missionary in Ukraine, and Clinton's work there with the orphans and people of Ukraine has been a cause near and dear to John's heart.
