John Yates

Mr. John Wesley Yates, age 86, of Carrollton, passed away, Friday, August 21, 2015. He was born September 8, 1928 in Hogansville, the son of the late Mr. James Yates and the late Mrs. Edna Barron Yates. He worked for Fulton County as a Data Processor for many years. He was an avid Coca- Cola memorabilia collector. Mr. Yates was a Mason. He was a long time member of Midway Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his great grandchild, Tristen Meyer; brothers, Jarrell Yates, Otis Yates; sister, Dorothy E. Yates.He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Dearman Yates of Carrollton; daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine and Jeff Neese of Carrollton; Beverly and Chris Rousseau of Snellville; Angie Gable of Carrollton; Lynn and Larry Crumbley of Sharpsburg; brother, Lamon Yates of Georgia; sixteen grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Monday, August 24, 2015 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, August 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery at 3:00 PM in Stone Mountain.
