Johnnie Odom

Mrs. Johnnie Lou Moore Odom, 82, of Mableton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014. She was born January 2, 1932 in Carroll County, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. John Moore and the late Mrs. Effie Hannah Moore. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Powder Springs. She was a homemaker. She was a wonderful cook. She was an avid fisherman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Moore. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Garland W. Odom of Mableton; daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Louie Freeman of Smyrna and Melanie and Doug Buffington of Douglasville; sons and daughters-in-law, Stanley and Katie Odom of Powder Springs and Joel and Ginger Peacock of Marietta; sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and Bill Bailey of Carrollton; five grandchildren and their spouses, Cameron Freeman of Douglasville, Brandon and Danyelle Odom of Dallas, Ashley Odom Tucker and her husband, JL of Dallas, Blake Buffington of Douglasville, and Tiffany Peacock of Marietta; five great-grandchildren, Kelsey Freeman of Douglasville, Reece Freeman of Douglasville, Carson Tucker of Dallas, Camden Tucker of Dallas, and Payton Odom of Dallas ; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Friday, April 4, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church in Powder Springs with Dr. Kenneth Martin officiating.
