Johnny Beckom

Mr. Johnny Beckom, age 71, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016. He was born December 18, 1944 in Spaulding County, GA the son of the late Mr. Tommy Lee Beckom and the late Mrs. Opal Helms Beckom. He worked in construction for many years. Mr. Beckom enjoyed adult coloring books, cooking, RFD TV, cattle auctions, making bird houses and sewing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Leslie Beckom; several sisters and brothers also. He is survived by his wife, Celia Turner Beckom of Piedmont, AL; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda Beckom and Greg Woods of Piedmont, AL; sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney Eugene and Michelle Beckom of Rockmart, Earl David and Tammy Beckom of Aragon, Dwayne Anthony Beckom of Cedartown; brother, Bobby Joe Beckham of Sharpsburg; grandchildren, Sandy Beckom, Candy Beckom, Haley Beckom, Kenzie Beckom, Kayse Beckom, Kellsie Beckom, and Seth Beckom; great grandchildren, Kyleigh, Lulu, Willow, Jazzy, Seamus, Jovi, and Gatlin; several nieces and nephews also survive. According to Mr. Beckom’s wishes he was cremated. Private Memorial Services will be conducted at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family ask that contributions be made to Cedar Valley Shrines Club, 1626 Rockmart Highway, Cedartown, Georgia 30125.
