Mr. John “Johnny” Carson Cabe, age 67, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, August 21, 2015 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice following an extended illness. He was born September 10, 1947 in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. John H. Cabe and the late Mrs. Gertie Vinola Ivester Cabe. He was a Christian, was baptized, and was a member of Union Christian Church in College Park, Georgia. He was a beloved brother and uncle. He filled our hearts with sunshine, joy, laughter and so much love. He loved music, church, and family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Eugene Cabe, Sr. and Luther Cabe; niece and caregiver, Stephanie Mayfield Frey; and brother-in-law, Wayne Byous. He is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Doyle Fincher of Douglasville and Eileen Byous of Douglasville; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Jo Cabe of Bridgeboro; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Cabe of Griffin and Katherine Cabe Mitchell of Lagrange; special niece and caregiver, Harmonie Richey; special caregivers, Sue Beasley, Joann Conner, Ziggy Martinez, and Angie Brown; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, August 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Allen Thames officiating. Interment will follow at Union Christian Cemetery in College Park. The following will serve as pallbearers: Doyle Fincher, Jr., Roger Mayfield, Ben McMahan, Gerald Richey, David Hobbs, and Ronny Pierce.
