Mr. Johnny Booth Deaton, Sr., 88, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Saturday, March 12, 2016. He was born September 13, 1927 in Winder, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Thomas Marshall Deaton and the late Mrs. Jewell Margaret Booth Deaton. He worked as a truck driver for Revest Trucking Company. He was a member for over 67 years at Brown Memorial Baptist Church in Atlanta where he also served as a deacon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Katherine Simpkins Deaton; son, Johnny Deaton, Jr. sister and brother-in-law, Ruenett Meeks and David Meeks. He is survived by a daughter, Joan White of Lithia Springs; son-in-law, Ernie White and his wife, Cynthia of Port Neches, Texas; six grandchildren, Mike White of Lithia Springs, Katherine Lacy of Texas, Andrew and Nicole Deaton of Paulding County, Mandy and Jordan Andre of Atlanta, Tiffany Deaton of Ohio and Josh Deaton of Ohio, Hope Nelson of Douglasville; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler White, serving in the Army in Korea, Hailey White of Douglasville, Austin Caril of Michigan, Christopher Deaton of Paulding County, Kirsten Deaton of Paulding County, Brianna Lacy of Texas, and Fiona Andre of Atlanta. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Doug Rainwater officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens. The following will serve as pallbearers: Mike White, Ernie White, Andy Deaton, Chris Deaton, Steven Dilbeck, Jordan Andre and Christopher Hogan.
