Johnny R. Holcombe

Mr. Johnny R. Holcombe, 72, of Carroll County, Georgia passed away Monday, June 16, 2008 at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica. Mr. Holcombe was born November 24, 1935 in Anderson County, South Carolina the son of the late John Wiley Holcombe and the late Mrs. Lilly Benton Holcombe. He was a retired Machinist from Lockheed in Marietta and a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Villa Rica. He enjoyed Motorcycles and wood working and was known as “Mr. Fix It”. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Levia Beck Holcombe to whom he married August 6, 1966, daughter and son-in-law, Sheila Holcombe and Wayne Summerville of Carrollton, son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Pam Holcombe of Villa Rica, sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Leonard Poore of Greenville, SC, grandchildren, Andrew Gore, Jason Agan and Adam Gore, Great Grandchildren, BreAnna Agan, Brooke Agan, Brittney Agan and Jacie Agan, a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. A.M. Ballenger, Dr. J. B. Marlow and Rev. Joe Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in the Meadowbrook Memory Gardens on Hickory Level Road in Villa Rica.
