Mrs. Joreen Curlee Cochran, 87, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at her residence. She was born December 24, 1928 in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Joseph Benjamin Curlee and the late Mrs. Carrie Mae Jones Curlee. She worked at the City of Atlanta Building Inspector Office, the State of Georgia Clerks Office, and she was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church Lithia Springs where she was a member of the Hope Sunday School Class. She volunteered for the Douglas Senior Services, Lithia Springs Christian Aid Center, and the Douglas County Meals on Wheels program. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George James âJimmyâ Cochran; and great-grandson, Gabriel James Cochran. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Barbara Cochran of Palm Harbor, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Rusty McIntosh of Bowdon; five grandchildren and their families; granddaughter Holly and Raymond Brown and their children, Dr. Liza Brown, Kennedy Brown, Sierra Brown, and Caden Brown; grandson Ben and Melinda Cochran and their children, Patrick Crandall, Ian Cochran, and Allison Cochran; granddaughter Jennifer and Phillip Carroll and their children, Drew Carroll, Carson Carroll, and Lilly Carroll; granddaughter Mandy and Matt Payton and their children, Mayley Payton and Maggie Payton; and granddaughter Hayley and Adrian Dodd and their son, James Dodd. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Kevin McKoy, Rev. Mike Sinyard, and Dr. Marion Beaver officiating. Musical selections will be provided by JoAnne Fields, Marilyn Walthall and Karl Lashley. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Rev. Gene Fields officiating. Pallbearers will be Raymond Brown, Ben Cochran, Phillip Carroll, Adrian Dodd, Matt Payton, Joe Walthall, Alan McWhorter, and Mac McWhorter.
