Joseph "Joe" Emile Carbona, age 71, of Douglasville, Georgia formerly of Florida and Queens, New York died on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at his home.
Joe was born on November 20, 1949 in Queens, New York to Joseph Carbona and Maria D'Amioo Carbona. He attended School in the New York School System and was of the Catholic Faith. He was proud of his Italian heritage from both his parents. Joe and his beloved wife, Julie moved to Florida, where they lived for 35 years and Joe worked with the Wal-Mart Company in retail services. He did everything that could be done on the local level of a location. Joe and Julie enjoyed their retirement years in Florida until she died four years ago. Joe moved to Douglasville, Georgia to be close to his family. Joe loved motorcycles and especially going to Bike Week in Daytona Beach, FL with his nephew, Joey. He loved animals, especially dogs, and not long ago his beloved "Pink" went to the Rainbow Bridge. He enjoyed music, bingo and singing solo. He was known on various Cruises that Julie and he took together, for just breaking out in song and would sing to the attendees at the various dinners. Joe was a devoted son, husband, brother, uncle, great uncle and friend. He will be missed by his adoring family and friends.
Joe leaves to cherish his memory; sister & brother-in-law, Marilyn Carbona Hubschmitt (James) and devoted nephew, Joseph Anthony Hubschmitt all of Douglasville, Georgia; niece, Jennifer Crankshaw & her husband Anthony of Dallas, GA; nephew, James Hubschmitt of New York, NY; great nieces, Marilyn & Matthew Barday and their son, Holden, of Dallas, GA and Lindsay & Jon Vaughn and their daughter, Ella of Dallas, GA; great nephew, A.J. Crankshaw, of Dallas, GA; also Donna Hubschmitt of Winston, GA; other relatives and friends.
It was Joe's request to be cremated. There are no services planned at this time, but his nephew, Joey will be scattering his cremated remains, along his beloved wife Julie on the beach in Daytona Beach, FL.
