Joseph "Joe" Thomas

Mr. Joseph “Joe” William Thomas, age 77, of Douglasville passed away February 4, 2013. He was born November 18, 1935 in Douglasville, Georgia the son of the late Mr. James Solomon Thomas and the late Mrs. Willie Faye Miles. He was a self-employed Real Estate Appraiser. He was of the Christian Faith and a member of the Douglasville Lodge # 289 F&AM. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife Patricia M. Parr Thomas; son Timothy Louis Thomas; brothers, Miles Thomas and J.D. Thomas; sisters, Nell Moses, Doris Hatcher and Mildred Walton.He is survived by sons and former daughter-in-law, Michael and Beverly Thomas of Douglasville; William Greg Thomas of Douglasville; four grandchildren, Jessica Thomas, Chad Thomas, Amber Thomas and Grayson Thomas. Several nieces and nephews also survive.The family will receive friends from Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, February 8, 2013 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny White and Rev. Larry Argo officiating.
