Joseph "Joey" Anthony Garrett

Mr. Joseph “Joey” Anthony Garrett, age 20, of Dallas, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 9, 2007 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born February 11, 1987 in Douglasville, Georgia. He attended Paulding County High School. He was a member of Pine Ridge First Methodist Church in Dallas and was a student. He loved cars, motorcycles and dancing. He is survived by his adoptive parents, Tory Lee Garrett and Sheila Umbro Garrett of Dallas; biological mother, Margaret E. Umbro Adair of Lithia Springs and biological father, Johnathan Maddox of Douglasville; one sister, Amber Faith Garrett of Dallas; two brothers, Joshua Adam Garrett of Dallas and Christopher Ryan Tracey of Woodstock; maternal grandparents, Joseph Rocco Umbro and Kathy June Bowen of Lithia Springs; paternal grandmother, Gwen Thomas of Douglasville; maternal great-grandparent, Nolie Phillips of Manchester; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, August 13, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky Eaves and Father Carl Zdancewicz officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Spring. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel Saturday, August 11, 2007 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Sunday, August 12, 2007 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
