Joseph Umbro

Mr. Joseph Rocco Umbro, age 69, of Lithia Springs, passed away, Friday, September 4, 2015. He was born June 22, 1946 in Boston, MA the son of the late Mr. Rocco Vincent Umbro and the late Mrs. Margaret Veronica Masciulli Umbro. Mr. Umbro enjoyed Handball, Dog Racing, and Horse Racing. He loved watching his grandchildren play football and softball. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam. Mr. Umbro worked for Delta Airlines for 26 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Joseph Anthony Garrett; brother, Dennis James Umbro. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Bowen Umbro of Lithia Springs; daughters and son-in-law, Margaret Elizabeth Adair of Acworth, Sheila and Tory Garrett of Dallas; brother, Kevin Umbro of Boston; grandchildren, Christopher Ryan Tracey, Joshua Adam Garrett, and Amber Faith Garrett; one niece, Elizabeth Umbro of Philadelphia also survives. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville Sunday, September 6, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be conducted Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. John Vianney Church of Lithia Springs with Father Mark Thomas officiating.
