Josephine Payne

Mrs. Josephine Elizabeth Campbell Payne, 85, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014. She was born October 4, 1928 in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Tiny Campbell and the late Mrs. Bertha Campbell. She was a business woman who owned and operated Pace Bonding Company. She was community involved and enjoyed volunteering for the Boys and Girls Club. She served as PTA President and as a substitute teacher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Judson Payne; and two sisters, Louise and Inez. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Gayle and Danny Barrow and Lisa and Ricky Robinson all of Lithia Springs; son, Glenn Payne of Lithia Springs; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Amy, Amanda, and Emily; great-grandchildren, Bradly, Francis, Judson, and Ryder; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Pastor Jim Grieme officiating.
