Josie Couch Farr

Mrs. Josie Mae Couch Farr, age 83, of Carrollton, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, November 29, 2017. She was born February 21, 1934 in Villa Rica, the daughter of the late Mr. William Alvin Couch and the late Mrs. Lou Ila Birdsong Couch. Mrs. Farr loved cooking and traveling. Mr. and Mrs. Farr owned and operated Farr’s Roller Rink for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lawrence Farr; brothers, Bruce Couch, Newt Couch, Hinkle Couch, Bryce Couch, and Elbert Couch. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Dennis Yates of Carrollton; sons and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kay Farr of Carrollton, Ricky Farr of Carrollton; grandchildren, Erin and Clint Backstrom; Russ and Anna DuRant, Eva Yates, Ashley and Robby Hester, Katie and Tyler Shelton, TJ Farr; great grandchildren, Bridget Adams, Haven Todd, Lily Farr, Addison Leigh DuRant, Sophia Pulliam, Colton Pulliam, Bella Farr, Sydney Shelton, Charlotte Shelton, Tyler Shelton, Jr. and Brady Hester; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 3:00 PM from Carroll Memory Gardens with Rev. Gene Swanger officiating. Interment will follow at Carroll Memory Gardens.
