Joyce Brewer

Mrs. Joyce Evonne Brewer, age 72, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012. She was born May 14, 1940 the daughter of the late Mr. Elmer Eads and the late Mrs. Opal Katherine Dennison Eads. She married Joseph Frederick “Fred” Brewer on September 5, 1964. She worked as the secretary of engineering at Wellstar Douglas Hospital and she was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Douglasville. She was devoted to her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Frederick “Fred” Brewer on January 25, 2011; and daughter, Jennifer Leigh Brewer. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Kevin Allen of Douglasville; son, Joseph “Joe” F. Brewer, Jr. and Katherine Riemer of Douglasville; sisters, Janet Cathcart and Debbie Warnecke; brother, Michael Eads; 7 grandchildren, Thomas Allen, Alexander Allen, Joseph Riley Brewer, Leigh Allen, Tammy Allen, Cilla Price and Griffin Riemer; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Friday, October 5, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Tim Potate officiating.
