Joyce Christopher

Mrs. Joyce Barber Christopher, 86, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017. She was born June 21, 1931 in Greenville, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Mr. John Luther Barber and the late Mrs. Ruby Smith Cook. She was a Greeter for Wal-Mart in Douglasville, Georgia. She was an avid gardener, loved reading and her puppy Daisy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. George Christopher, and two sisters; Sue Oates and Gloria Horton. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John and Terri Christopher of Douglasville; granddaughter, Kara Christopher; sister, Peggy Puckett of Douglasville; niece, Valerie Ducasse of Douglasville; nephew, Rick Puckett of Douglasville. The family will receive friends, Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Memorial services will be conducted, Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Dr. Grady Morris officiating.
