Joyce Ann Collins

Joyce Ann Collins, 60, of Villa Rica, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026. She was born on December 2, 1965, the daughter of the late Herman Otto Thomas and the late Barbara Ann Etheridge High.

Joyce was a proud grandmother to her three grandchildren, who affectionately called her “NeNe.” She loved all of her family dearly, and they were the center of her life. Her warmth, devotion, and the pride she took in those she loved will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Joyce will be remembered as a woman who found great joy in the outdoors and in the simple pleasures that brought comfort and happiness to her life. She loved to fish, deer hunt, and spend time outside, embracing the peace and freedom that came with being in nature. She also enjoyed reading books, especially heartwarming stories, watching Hallmark movies, and listening to music, particularly George Strait, who was among her favorites.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Collins; daughter and son-in-law, Felicia and Joey Oesterreicher of Villa Rica; son, Kenneth “Kenny” Collins, Jr. of Villa Rica; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jackie and Don Elliot of Georgetown, South Carolina, Judy Thomas of Andrews, South Carolina, Jennie and Danny Weaver of Andrews, South Carolina, Jill and Scott Young of Georgetown, South Carolina; brothers and sisters-in-law, James Thomas of Andrews, South Carolina, Jerry and Mary Thomas of Nesmith, South Carolina; Jimmy and Vicky Thomas of Andrews, South Carolina; grandchildren, Aaron Oesterreicher, Emma Oesterreicher and Olivia Oesterreicher; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 3:00 PM with Pastor David Gresham and Assoc. Pastor Carol Couch. Interment will follow at Melrose Garden of Memories.

Joyce Ann Collins will be remembered with love and gratitude for the life she lived and the care she gave so freely to her family. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
