Mrs. Joyce Gordon, age 65 , of Villa Rica, GA passed away on Sunday, March 3,2019. She was born June 5, 1953 in Jersey City, NJ.,the daughter of the late Mr. Raymond Francis Popp and Mrs. Helen Flanagan. For many years she worked as a manager in the retail food industry, She loved speeding time with her family and friends , she enjoyed watching football and was a fan of the Gators and loved the beach, loved God and she was welcomed into heaven with open arms. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great friend and she will be missed dearly.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Murphy. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Gordon of Villa Rica; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Jason Jones of Villa Rica; sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Alejandra Gordon of Tucker, Jason Gordon of Apopka, FL; mother, Helen Flanagan of Fletcher, NC; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maureen and Jeff Moten of Charlotte, NC, Joanne and Paul Person of Fletcher, NC; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Teresa Popp, Jr. of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchild, Elena Gordon; several nieces and nephews also survive. In according to Mr. Gordon’s wishes, she was cremated.Religious Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 9,2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Decatur GA 30032.
