Joyce Williams Huey

Joyce Williams Huey, 75, of Temple, passed away on November 20, 2023. She was born on September 6, 1948. She is the daughter of the late Ancy Jackson Williams and the late Pearl Morrow Williams.

A woman of many interests and talents, Joyce found solace in the simple pleasures of life with her family. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed cooking. Throughout her career, Joyce worked as a seamstress for Sewell's Manufacturing. Her skillful hands meticulously stitched together fabrics, creating beautiful garments that brought joy to many. She also devoted herself to caring for others, with a special place in her heart for her daughter Christy, whom she lovingly served as a caregiver. Joyce had a deep love for flowers and their beauty. Butterflies held a special fascination for her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Eugene Williams, Seaborn Franklin Williams, and AJ Williams, Jr.; sister, Shelby Jean Clay.

She is survived by her daughters Christy Huey of Temple, and Connie Huey Morrow of Carrollton; son Johnny Huey (Denatia Knight) of Villa Rica; sister, Linda Miller (David Austin)  of Villa Rica; brothers, Roosevelt Franklin Williams of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Ryan (Victoria) Morrow, Dakota Morrow, and Kaylan (Blake) Thomas; great-grandchildren, Isabella Morrow, Madeline Morrow, Ty Thomas, and Kendyll Thomas.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at 2:00 PM from the Jones-Wynn Villa Rica Chapel. Interment will follow at Powell Chapel Cemetery in Villa Rica, GA.
