Joyce Johnson Short

Mrs. Joyce Short, age 68, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011. She was born November 22, 1942, in Denver, CO. the daughter of the late Mr. Paul Lathaire Johnson and the late Mrs. Hazel Pauline Rogers Johnson. She was retired a Registered Nurse. She received her bachelors of Arts Cum Laude at the University of West Georgia. She attended St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in Denver, CO. She was a member of Atlanta Mennonite Fellowship. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Deborah Cox of Villa Rica, Glenda and Dan Martillotti of Leander, TX and son Andy Short of Villa Rica; five grandchildren, Devin Cox of Fredericksburg, VA, Cheyene Cox of Villa Rica, Anthony Martillotti of Texas, Angela Martillotti of Texas, Dale Short of Oxford, AL. Several cousins also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Pastor James Rissler officiating. According to her wishes her body will be cremated following the service. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
