Mrs. Joyce Evans Worthan, age 84, of Douglasville, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018. She was born October 8, 1934 the daughter of the late Mr. James Cecil Evans and Mrs. Edna Brown Evans. She was a member of Sunset Hills Baptist Church. She loved her Joy Sunday School Class. She loved to read and play on her iPad. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Dean Evans; sisters, Vivian Carson, Melba Harcrow, Carol Broderick, and Jerry Pruitt.She is survived by her husband, Richard Arlen Worthan; daughters and son-in-law, Shay Powell of Douglasville, Georgia, Joy and Fred Daniell of Villa Rica; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tim and Kathy Evans of Covington, Georgia, and Terry and Sheree Evans of Madison, Georgia; grandsons, Jarod and Kristen Powell of Villa Rica, Georgia, Bryan and Lindsey Daniell of Rockmart, Georgia, and granddaughter, Katie and Colt Godfrey of Villa Rica, Georgia; great grandchildren, Elliot and Autumn; several nieces and nephews also survive.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Grieme and Rev. Ikey Watson officiating.
