Judy Abernathy Jones

Mrs. Judy Abernathy Jones, 51, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Monday, January 30, 2006 at Wellstar Douglas Hospital. She was born May 30, 1954 in Austell, Georgia the daughter of Mrs. Patsy Meadows Abernathy and the late Mr. Doyle Darnell Abernathy. She attended Mount Paran Church of God. She married James Roger Jones on March 16, 1973. She worked as a hairdresser at Elaine’s Hair Care in Douglasville. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, James “Jim” Roger Jones of Lithia Springs; one daughter, Melissa Carol Jones of Douglasville; one son and daughter-in-law, Andrew Darnell and Kourtney Jones of Villa Rica; her mother, Patsy Meadows Abernathy of Douglasville; one brother and sister in law, Doyle D. Abernathy, Jr. and Tonya Abernathy of Douglasville; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews service. Memorial Services will be conducted Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel with Pastor David B. Reid and Darnell Jones officiating.
