Jules Valery, 75, of Temple, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023. He was born on February 21, 1947, in Petionville, Haiti. He is the son of the late Jules Valery and the late Mary Guichard.
As a young man, Jules thrived in his passion for athletics and for education as well. He enjoyed going to school, as well as pastimes playing as a young bright man in Haiti. He graduated and left home to come to the United States to follow his dreams. Jules worked tirelessly as he used his solid gut determination and sharp mind to reach his goals.
Jules went on to reside in Brooklyn, New York where one day by sheer chance he bumped into an old friend and classmate from his days at College Bird years prior. That person was Simone Torres. He and Simone rekindled their long, lasting friendships and went on to become inseparable.
Jules and Simone moved on August 30, 1969 and from that day on they have built a home together on the foundation of their great love. Jules was a special one. He had a loving heart, and he was a great husband, father, protector, planner and leader. Jules was an anchor to most everything and everyone he touched. He achieved many things in his time with us. He was a real estate agent, entrepreneur, property owner, a member of Toastmasters International, insurance executive, company owner, and more. Most importantly Jules was a great man, a big spirit, and funny guy. He was proud to be a father, husband, and family man. Jules transitioned to newer peaks and heights when he was called home on January 14, 2023. We will always know he is close.
He is survived by his loving wife Simone Torres; daughter, Winifred Valery of Douglasville; son, Pierre Valery of Temple; siblings, Albert Louis Valery, Max Joseph Valery, Maurice Valery, Darlyna Valery Elias, Yveline Valery-Gumbs, (Evan) Isabelle Valery Linton (Clinton), Ernest Cesar, Jules Cesar; three grandchildren, Cheyenne, Justin and Elijah Jules; several nieces and nephews also survive.
