This is a celebration on life in words. Julia Wells-Bearden known as Julie to those who loved her and she loved passed away at age 73 November 4, 2014. She was born in Hampton, VA May 8, 1941 to the late Theodore and Mary Elizabeth Wray-Wells. During Julieâs life she worked as an executive assistant in the music industry at Atlantic and Universal Records in New York City. Julie used her good fortune to help her family, friends, and those in need in any capacity. Her passion was helping others, especially children that needed special attention, love and guidance.Throughout her life she had a moral compass that guided her. Julie believed that each person on this earth had a responsibility to help their fellow man/woman. She never would shy away from helping a person that was in need. Thus, she was known for her ease in conversation even with total strangers. Throughout her life she maintained relationships with individuals that were rooted in trust. Hence, she won the trust and hearts of many. She constantly showed us how to treat others. Even now we are being challenged to uphold her philosophies, as we all witnessed her modeling of constant nurturing love and faith. Possessing a true loving heart, Julie tried to ensure that her family, friends, and strangers realized their full potential. Julie faithfully cared for family and friends through the sharing of her knowledge and resources available to her. She was never afraid to speak her mind and share her views. Her methods may not have been appreciated always, but never once was her intent anything but love.With a real zest for the betterment of people and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, Julie loved to research her family history and to keep family records. She also was an avid writer, and she chronicled her immediate family and dear friendâs lives for them in words, pictures, and mementoes. Julie was a historian for all intent and purpose, each aspect of her life has a detailed short story written by her to memorialize the time period. Julie also loved to use her analytical and logical reasoning skills. She was an ardent Scrabble, Bid Whist, and slot machine player. She especially liked to challenge others at games that required memory and deductive reasoning. In addition, to the games she loved playing she loved to share stories from her or anyone elseâs life. The urn that Julieâs earthly remains will be held in nicely sums up, in one sentence, how fondly she will be remembered: Julie Bearden: Mother to all she encountered Julie Wells-Bearden is survived and preceded in death by numerous family members. As she loved each family member and friends equally it is impossible to name them all individually. The family is grateful for the wonderful memories created in the last two weeks of her life. She was surrounded by family and friends. Charlie Bearden her ex-husband, Ella Johnson, Dorcas âDottieâ Parham, Cousin Delores and her husband, Shawnee Johnson, Nicole Gellineau, Joseph and Elizabeth Enang, Tijuana Touré, and Oumar âQâ Touré, Cornell Jefferson, Roger Wells and Michael Wells were some of the people that helped to put a smile on her face through the pain she endured in her last days. The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heart-felt forms from some many individuals. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 3:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 3:00 PM from that Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home. Mrs. Bearden will be cremated following the services.
