Julia Barbarann Bostic, 86, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026. She was born on February 26, 1939, the daughter of the late Clifford Williams and the late Louise Williams.

She was a remarkable individual whose life was defined by her dedication to her family and her warm, inviting personality. Julia’s spirit was infused with sass and love, qualities that endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Throughout her life, Julia was not just a parent; she was the embodiment of a #1 Mom. Her unwavering support was felt in every aspect of her family's life, as she made it a point to attend every family event, celebrating the milestones and the everyday moments alike. Her grandchildren were truly the center of her universe, and she cherished each moment spent with them. The joy they brought her was evident, and she reveled in the role of a doting grandmother.

Julia was known for her wisdom, always ready with the best advice and guidance. Her loving presence created a safe haven for her family, making it easy for them to turn to her in times of need. The warmth she radiated left an indelible mark on the hearts of those around her, and her legacy of love and support will continue to resonate within her family for generations to come.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert A. Bostic who passed on September 29, 2015; her brother, Reginald Williams and sisters, Joan Marcus and Delores Gooding.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Jordan, Nicole Wilburn, Jeanine Brickhouse and Julia Farmer; sons, Charles Edward Bostic, and Bobby Augustus Bostic; sisters, Beverly Johnson and Catherine Taylor; thirty grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive family and friends on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel. The family requests that guests wear blue attire, however this is not mandatory.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated.

As we remember Julia, let us honor her commitment to family, her nurturing spirit, and her ability to light up any room with her presence. She will be dearly missed but forever cherished in the memories of those she held close.
