Julia Elaine Hirneisent-Sarosy, 79, of Winston, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 10, 1946, in Pennsylvania to the late Clair S. Hirneisen and Sarah Blimline. Julia is leaving behind a legacy marked by warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to family and community.
Julia’s life was rich with accomplishment and purpose. She earned her Bachelor's degree, reflecting her commitment to education and lifelong learning. Professionally, Julia contributed to many fields, working as a Substitute Teacher, Licensed Practical Nurse, Real Estate Agent, Social Worker, and RCC. Through each of these roles, Julia approached her work with genuine compassion and an eagerness to help others.
A beloved wife and mother-in-law, Julia’s devotion to her family was at the heart of her life. She was family-oriented, always finding joy in close connections and the laughter of loved ones. Julia was especially proud of her grandbabies, holding them close to her heart and cherishing every accomplishment and milestone they reached.
Julia’s personality was defined by sweetness and a kind-hearted nature. Those who knew her describe her as gentle, caring, and ever-ready to offer support. She embraced life with enthusiasm—loving to camp, spending time at the beach in South Carolina, and traveling to Maine. Her adventurous spirit led her across Europe, Central America, Canada and Greece, experiences she treasured and spoke of fondly.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Kent Hirneisen, Eugene Hirneisen, and Russel Hirnesisen; sisters Kathleen Sprecher and Marian Baur.
She is survived by her husband Richard Joseph Hirneisen-Sarosy, son and daughter-in-law Nathan and Brandy Hirneisen-Sarosy; grand-children, Payton Hirneisen-Sarosy, Memphis Hirneisen-Sarosy, Mason Hirneisen-Sarosy, Zachary Hirneisen-Sarosy, Hailey Hirneisen-Sarosy and Dalton Hirneisen-Sarosy; one great-grandchild on the way; brothers Ronald Hirneisen, Marvin Hirneisen, Glenn Hirneisen, and Gale Hirneisen; sister Shirley Lins; nieces, Heather Pittman and Laura Fast.
Julia Elaine Hirneisen-Sarosy will be profoundly missed by those whose lives she touched, remembered for her generous spirit, her love of family, and the enduring example she set through her life’s work and passions. Her memory will live on in her family’s hearts and in the countless individuals whose lives were brightened by her presence.
In accordance to the family wishes, Julia will be cremated.
