Julia "Judy" Jackson Pollard

Mrs. Julia “Judy” Jackson Pollard, age 80, of Carrollton, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the Wellstar Community Hospice in Austell, Georgia. She was born October 15, 1928 in Villa Rica, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Clyde Pierre Jackson and the late Mrs. Julia Mildred Brasher Jackson. Mrs. Pollard was a member of Midway Macedonia Baptist Church in Villa Rica, Georgia. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pollard was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Pollard and her brother, Lamar Jackson. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, John Robert Pollard, Jr., David Michael and Joann Pollard, and Mark Elliott and Linda Pollard, all of Carrollton; her sister, Frances Nicotra of Powder Springs; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 2:00PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Georgia with Revs. Todd Wright and Jeff Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens in Carrollton, Georgia.
