Julia Ann Smith

Julia Ann Smith, age 82, of Tazewell, VA, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023. She was born March 9, 1941 in Newhall, West Virginia. She is the daughter of the late Mr. Glen Everett Baldwin and the late Mrs. Pearly Mae Brewster. She was an active member of the Tazewell Community where she served on the board of El Bethel Pentecostal Church for many years, as well as faithfully ministering on the local radio station. The most important facet of her life was her faithful, dedicated walk with the Lord and service to her family. She enjoyed southern gospel music and her word search Bible puzzles.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Lee (Debbie) Smith of Douglasville, GA Barry (Angie) Smith of Hiram, GA; sisters, Dolly Crockett of Ohio, Joan (Mike) Anders of Virginia; brother, Allen Baldwin of Virginia; grandchildren, Brandi (Hamilton) Meadows, Andrew Smith, Alex Smith, Adam Smith; and honorary grandson, Trey Phillips; great grandkids, Eliana, Adeline, Briella and Annabelle all of Georgia; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, VA.
