Julius Smallwood

Mr. Julius Lester Smallwood, age90, of Atlanta, passed away, Sunday, March 29, 2015. He was born August 9, 1924 in Jefferson, GA the son of the late Mr. Jack Lester Smallwood and the late Mrs. Ruby Meeler Smallwood Owens. Mr. Smallwood served in the United State Army during World War II. He worked for Southern Bell for 39 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Randa Lynn Cleghorn.He is survived by his wife, Betty Farr Smallwood of Atlanta; sons and daughters –in-law, Kevin and Julie Smallwood of Charlotte, NC, Jeff and Amanda Smallwood of Covington, GA; four grandchildren, Jarrett Smallwood, Ashlyn Smallwood, Kathryn Smallwood and Douglas Cleghorn Downing. The family will receive friends at Bouldercrest Baptist Church, Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 10:30 until 11:00 AM. A Memorial Service will be conducted Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 11:00 AM from Bouldercrest Baptist Church, 3200 Bouldercrest Road, Ellenwood, GA 30294 with Pastor Elmer Goble.
