Karen Bennett

Mrs. Karen Yvonne Land Bennett, age 58, of Douglasville, passed away, Saturday, November 4, 2017. She was born October 11, 1959 in Atlanta the daughter of the late Mr. Thomas Cecil Land and Mrs. Catherine Marzell Terry Land. Mrs. Bennett was a Douglas County Special Olympics Photographer and Board Member for many years. She loved attending gospel and country music concerts. She was a lifetime member of the Northside Church of God. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lee Bennett.She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Leslea and Torrey Dudley of Lagrange, NC, Beth Bennett of Douglasville; sons, Matthew Bennett of Conway, AR, Jacob Bennett of Douglasville, Sammy Bennett of Douglasville; her mother, Catherine Marzell Terry Land; sisters and brothers-in-law, Janice and David Gibbs of Villa Rica, Celia “Sissy” and Les Burke of Divernon, IL, Brenda Weeks of Mobile, AL; three grandchildren, Miracle, Angel, Faith, and Dudley; longtime friend Anita Larson; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Northside Church of God, 1736 Harper Street, Atlanta. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Park.
