Karlyn Ann Tyson, 35, of Winston, Georgia, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026. She was born on April 2, 1990, the daughter of Robert and Lynn Tyson, sister of Matt Tyson and fiance of Brandon Lumpkin.
Karlyn brought light into the lives of everyone she knew with a joyful heart and her infectious laugh. She had a fierce love for her family, always making time to support and uplift those around her. Her generosity and kindness were evident in every interaction, as she had a special ability to make anyone feel valued and loved. Karlyn had a generous spirit and she was always willing to help others.
She was a true lover of animals; Karlyn had a deep affection for cats and she found joy in riding horses. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, whether it was spending the day at the beach or capturing moments behind the lens of her camera. She made memories that will be cherished forever.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ray Tyson and Freddie Cole Tyson; uncle Jerry Tyson; maternal grandparents, Jim Ferguson and Roberta Ferguson; aunt Laura Feltman.
She is survived by, Robert and Lynn Tyson and Matt; fiancé Brandon Lumpkin of Lithia Springs; aunts and uncles, Wilma and Billy Fountain of Villa Rica, Gayle Norred of Villa Rica, Kathy and Larry Carroll of Whitesburg, Nancy Boyette of Flowery Branch; aunts and uncle Jamie and Phil Smith of Columbus, Georgia, Lee Berry of Newnan; many cousins and extended family.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. A celebration of life will follow at 7:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Villa Rica Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like a donation of kitten and cat supplies. They will be gathered at the visitation and taken to shelters in memory of Karlyn.
Karlyn will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched during her time on Earth.
