Katherine Ann Sanders

Katherine “Ann” Sanders, 75, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025. She was born on October 19, 1949, the daughter of the late Grady Lee Harmon and the late Lillie Irene McGinnis Harmon.

Ann's journey through life was marked by a deep commitment to kindness and an unwavering dedication to those around her.

Ann had career at Haverty's Furniture for thirty-five years. Ann cultivated relationships built on trust and respect. Beyond her professional life, Ann was an active participant in her church community, where she dedicated her time to teaching Sunday School. Through these efforts, she became a mother figure to many, offering guidance and support to those who looked up to her. Her legacy is one of love, mentorship, and unwavering support.

Ann was also a passionate individual with a variety of interests. She was an avid reader, particularly romance novels. In addition, she had a creative side that shone through in making Afghans brought her immense satisfaction, with Ann often creating as many as fourteen in a single year.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Stephen Sanders; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Barber, Lynne Ayers and Denise Dredy; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM, the funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Pastor Oscar Agyekum officiating. She will be laid to rest at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens.
