Katherine Tucker

Miss Katherine Lucille Tucker, age 79, of Carrollton, passed away, Saturday, April 1, 2017. She was born April 22, 1937 in Woodstock the daughter of the late Mr. Walker Lee Tucker and the late Mrs. Willie Bernice Garrett Tucker. She worked for Leggett & Platt for many years. Miss Tucker attended Zion Christian Fellowship. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Allen Tucker, Arvil Tucker, Royce Tucker; sisters, Margaret Shoemaker, Joyce Tucker and Carla Cumby. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Zelma and Travis Meherg of Carrollton; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jena Tucker of Cartersville; sisters, Judy Tucker of Stone Mountain, Mary Nichols of Buchanan; brothers, David Tucker of Temple, Edward Tucker of Tallapoosa; five grandchildren, Carolyn Tumi, Lori Gaither, Thomas Tucker, Nicole Tucker, and Cheyenne Tucker; great grandchildren, Paige Gaither, Shae and Michael Smith, Lindsey Gaither, Lakin Tucker, Mackenzie Lee, Brianna Hicks, Aaliayah Tucker, Cameran David, Cayden Guerra, Cody Federer, Katy Federer; great-great grandchildren, Riley Smith and Elizabeth Smith; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Monday, April 3, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Park.
