Kathryn Brady Burke, 77, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on September 21, 2025. She was born on March 15, 1948, the daughter of the late William Simon Brady and the late L. E. Brady.

Kathryn leaves behind a rich legacy of love, dedication, and warmth. A devoted nutritionist and dietician, Kathryn was proud to have contributed her knowledge and care to the residents of Presbyterian Village for over 25 years. Her commitment to health and nutrition resonated deeply with those she served, reflecting her compassion and expertise in a field that she cherished dearly.

In addition to her thriving career, Kathryn enjoyed a variety of hobbies that filled her life with joy and creativity. She was an avid counted cross-stitch enthusiast and spent countless happy hours crafting beautiful pieces. Jigsaw puzzles also held a special place in her heart, as did her passion for traveling, where she sought adventure and new experiences wherever she went. Even in the quiet moments, Kathryn found solace in watching television, delighting in the stories and characters that unfolded on the screen. Notably, Kathryn had a soft spot for sea turtles, reflecting her gentle spirit and love for nature.

Above all, Kathryn brought immense love and joy to her family and friends. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she took great pride in nurturing their growth and witnessing their achievements. Kathryn’s friendships were a testament to her warmth and kindness, as she formed lasting connections with those fortunate enough to know her.

Kathryn celebrated a remarkable 50 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Mr. Burke. Their partnership was a cornerstone of her life, marked by mutual support, laughter, and unwavering love. As a couple, they created a home filled with cherished memories that will forever be remembered by their family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Allen Burke; son, Justin Burke; brothers, Herbert Brady and Patrick Brady.

She is survived by her daughter, Dawn (Eugene) Obermeyer; and four grandchildren, Draper Obermeyer, Megan Obermeyer, Katarina Crumpler, and Zachary Crumpler.

In accordance with her wishes she will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her, a reminder of a life well-lived in service to others, abundant in love, and filled with the beauty of shared moments and treasured relationships. She will be deeply missed and always remembered with affection.
