Mrs. Mary Kathrine “Kathy” Hawkins Cooper, age 89, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015. She was born January 26, 1926. She retired as a switchboard operator with Southern Bell. She was a member of Calvary Church of God in Douglasville. She was preceded in death by her parents Mary Nell and James Hawkins; husband, J.B. Cooper and brothers, Bill Hawkins and Ed Hawkins. She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Locke of Douglasville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Kay Locke of Winston, Robert and Tracey Locke of Douglasville, and Randy and Donna Locke of Douglasville; sisters, Dottie Marsh of Phoenix, AZ and Betty Lindsey of Cave Springs, GA; brother, James Hawkins of Centre, AL; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
