Keith Thomas Murwin, 75, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2026, He was born on July 31, 1951 to the late Thomas and Elizabeth Murwin.

Keith lived a life marked by steady work, exacting care, and generosity toward others. For 31 years, he taught at Stewart Middle School and Douglas County High School, bringing patience and loyalty to the classroom. His skill with his hands was woven through much of his life. At Stewart Middle School, he made trophy cases, creating something lasting for the school community. He also built stairs at women’s shelters, offering practical help where it was needed most, and he worked as a handyman who often fixed things for others.

He also spent 60 years as a pilot, a remarkable span of dedication that reflected the seriousness and meticulousness with which he approached his responsibilities. Whether in the air, in a school hallway, or at a workbench, Keith was known as someone who took care with what he did and gave of himself freely.

Keith loved woodworking, a craft that suited his patient nature and careful eye. He also enjoyed motorcycle riding, and for 57 years he rode with his best friend, Dennis Madaris. That enduring friendship and shared road spoke to the loyalty that defined him. Those who knew Keith will remember a man who was always serious, yet also kind, giving, and deeply dependable.

His life leaves the impression of quiet service and lasting workmanship—of things built well, duties carried through, and kindness offered without fanfare. Keith Thomas Murwin will be remembered with respect, gratitude, and affection by all who had the privilege to know him.
