Kelly Renee Barnwell

Kelly Renee Barnwell, 52, of Villa Rica, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. She was born on December 8, 1971, the daughter of Charles and Barbara Cassady.

She was a beacon of love and strength, known for her fierce devotion to her husband, children and unwavering dedication to her family. Her pride in her Italian heritage shone through in all aspects of her life. Kelly was more than just a mother to her own children; she had a nurturing spirit that extended to everyone she encountered. Fondly referred to as "everyone's mother," she touched the lives of many with her kindness and compassion. Her joy came from entertaining and feeding family and friends, creating warm and welcoming spaces where memories were made and laughter filled the air. 

In addition to her role as a caregiver and ER nurse, Kelly had a zest for life that manifested in various interests and hobbies. She found solace in travel, always seeking new adventures and experiences. The beach held a special place in her heart, providing a sense of peace and tranquility that rejuvenated her soul. As a dedicated fan of the Atlanta Falcons, Kelly brought enthusiasm and team spirit to every game day, showing unwavering support for her beloved team. Tailgating with loved ones brought her immense joy, combining her love for food, fun, and fellowship.

She is survived by her loving husband of thirty years, Charles “Chuck” Barnwell; daughter, Brooke Barnwell of Columbus, Ohio; son, Jimmy Barnwell and Jake Barnwell of Villa Rica; sister and brother-in-law, Katie and Kent Keltner of Vero Beach, Florida; three grandchildren, Kamri, Kenzlei, and Winton Barnwell; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 3, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Villa Rica. Mrs. Barnwell will lie in state from 3:00 PM until the funeral hour at 4:00 PM.

Flowers are accepted; however, contributions can be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. 

Kelly's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind cherished memories that will be forever etched in the hearts of her surviving family and friends.
