Ken Lamar Butterworth

April 16, 1957 — January 17, 2024

Lithia Springs

Ken Lamar Butterworth, 66, known affectionately as Kenny, passed away on January 17, 2024. Kenny was born on April 16, 1957, in Atlanta, Georgia to Mr. Paul Butterworth and Mrs. Joan Loden.

Kenny's journey through life was marked by his sense of humor, kind heart, and caring nature. He had a very matter-of-fact personality that endeared him to those around him. He will be remembered as a hardworking and dedicated individual who spent over 26 years behind the wheel as a truck driver.

Kenny had a deep love for travel and looked forward to his vacations - one place he loved to visit often was Germany. Outside of work, Kenny had several hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He was a supporter of the second amendment and had a passion for motorcycles. Kenny was a true Harley Davidson fan. He also enjoyed outdoor activities such as deer hunting and fishing — and going to the gun range was another favorite pastime that allowed him to sharpen his skills while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts.

Kenny is survived by his parents, Mr. Paul (Joyce) Butterworth and Mrs. Joan Loden; daughter, Kelly (George) Woodall; step-daughter, Erica Holbrook; brothers, Wayne Butterworth, Allen and William "Billy" Loden, Donnie (Mary) Sanchez; sister, Robyn Baker; grandchildren, Haylee and Anna Woodall; and great-grandchildren, Everleigh and Maya Turner. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will forever carry memories of him in their hearts.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 12 – 2 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Chapel in Douglasville, with Mr. Tim Stephens officiating.
