Kenneth "Kenny" Leon Garrett

Mr. Kenneth “Kenny” Leon Garrett, 57, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Tanner Medical Center in Villa Rica, Georgia. He was born December 17, 1949 in Rome, Georgia. He was the son Mr. Charles Leon Garrett and Mrs. JoAnn Darden Garrett. Mr. Garrett was a retired driver for UPS, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Villa Rica. Mr. Garrett enjoyed spending time with his family and was a skilled handyman. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Mrs. Linda Darlene Bailey Garrett; daughters and son-in-laws, Mandy and Daren Stegall, and Shelley and John Kegley, both of Villa Rica; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Phillip Lewis of Mableton; five grandchildren; Stephen Kegley, Garrett Kegley, Bailey Stegall, Cass Stegall and Mary Stegall, and nieces and nephews, Jeff Reaves, Rick Smith, Randy Smith, Jody Smith, Sue Ann Bailey and David Bailey. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 11:00AM from the First Baptist Church of Villa Rica, in Villa Rica, Georgia with Dr. Billy Godwin, Rev. Don Chadwick, Dr. Allan Purdie, Rev. Lin Harrison, and Rev. Jeff Jones officiating. Musical selections will be provided by Torre Stanfill, and Brandon Guest. Mr. Garrett will lie in state at the church from 10:30 AM until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica, Georgia, with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Randy Smith, Rick Smith, Jody Smith, David Bailey, Jeff Reaves and Brandon Guest. The family will be receiving friends at the First Baptist Church of Villa Rica, Monday, April 16, 2007 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
