Kim Jones

Mrs. Kim Marie Nitkowski Jones, age 53, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born November 27, 1959 in Buffalo, New York the daughter of the late Mr. Stanley J. Nitkowski, Jr. and the late Mrs. Eleanor Sobocinski Nitkowski. She worked as an accountant for Precision Blasting LLC. Mrs. Jones was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Douglasville. She is survived by her husband, John Douglas Jones of Douglasville; son, Scott Patrick Maryniak of Buffalo, NY; daughters, Brooke Ann Maryniak and Ashley Marie Maryniak both of Douglasville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Diane T. and James C. Dolan and Joyce M. and Paul Gunderman; brother and sister-in-law, Paul A. and Kimiko Nitkowski; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Elaine Jones; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack and Valerie Jones; and a number of other surviving relatives. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Wednesday, September 18, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A rosary service will be at 7:00 PM by Deacon Terry. Funeral Mass will be conducted Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Douglasville with Father Cong Nguyen and Father Fernando Molina-Restrepo officiating. According to her wishes, following the funeral mass her body will be donated to the Emory University School of Medicine.
