Kimberly Ellen Austin

Kimberly Ellen Austin, 65, died February 12, 2021, in metro Atlanta, Georgia. She was born October 7, 1955, in Waverly, Iowa, the daughter of Reese Jones and the late Helen Jane Jones, of Bluffton, South Carolina. Kimberly was married to James Austin from 1986 until her passing. Kimberly is survived by her daughter, Jamie Mendiola, of Atlanta, Georgia; and her son, Grant Friess, of Cumming, Georgia; her sister, Lori Athey of South Carolina; and her brother, Kevin Jones, of South Carolina. Kimberly is also survived by her uncle and aunt, Roger and Pat Jones, of Medina, Ohio; by her grandsons, Chase and Blake, of Cumming, Georgia; and multiple cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Kimberly was a graduate of Firestone High School in Akron, Ohio, and she attended the University of Akron. Kimberly adored her Shih Tzu, Coco, and Coco brought her much joy. A private Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Kimberly will be held in the summer of 2021 with the date to be determined.
