Lane Ashley Scroggins

Lane Ashley Scroggins, 60, of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026. He was born on September 14, 1965, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Emmett Scroggins Jr. and Helen Janette Maxwell.

Lane was a devoted family man who loved spending time with those closest to him. He especially enjoyed making memories with family and friends at the lake. He was an avid Georgia Dawgs fan and enjoyed fishing and cooking in his spare time. Lane also has a special bond with his dog, Leon. Known for being a jokester with a larger-than-life personality, he had a way of making everyone around him smile a little more and laugh a little harder. Above all, Lane was a man of strong faith whose warmth and spirit touched many lives and will be truly missed by all.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Franklin Scroggins and Mark Scroggins.

He is survived by nephew Tony (Tina) Harris of Douglasville, GA; nieces, Tami (Paul) Gokey of Newnan, Georgia, Jessie Gower; great-nieces and nephews, Kyler Harris, Kaden Harris, Kailee Harris, Mary Gokey, Macey Gokey, and Marley Gokey. Great-great-nieces, Dakota Harris and Nova Harris.

According to Lane’s wishes he was cremated. A celebration of life will be conducted at Victory Baptist Church, Sunday May 31, 2026 at 3:00 pm.
