LaTrelle Riggs

Mrs. LaTrelle Bowen Riggs, age 89, of Powder Springs, passed away, Wednesday, September 20, 2017. She was born November 9, 1927 in Cleveland the daughter of the late Mr. Claude James Bowen and the late Mrs. Roxie Mae Barrett Bowen. Mrs. Riggs attended Beauty School and was a Beautician for several years prior to going to work for UPS as an accounting clerk for 20 years. Mrs. Riggs loved reading, word puzzles, playing bingo and going to devotion. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Conley Riggs; sisters, Inez Campbell and Angela Wood.She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and Susie Dockery of Powder Springs, Benji and Latrecia Dockery of Powder Springs; brother, Egbert “Ed” Bowen of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Brent and Tia Dockery of Rockmart, Bryan Dockery of Kennesaw, Kyle Dockery of Powder Springs, Laurel Dockery of Powder Springs, Kristina and Jerome Davis of Savannah; four great-grandchildren, Jazzmin Hatfield, EmmyLou Dockery, Braxton Dockery and Magnolia Dockery; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Kleindienst officiating.
