Laura Bishop George

Mrs. Laura Bishop George, age 48, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Monday, November 23, 2009 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia after an extended illness. She was born April 3, 1961 in Marietta, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. James W. Bishop and Mrs. Anna Fischbach Hampton. Mrs. George attended Villa Rica First United Methodist Church. She worked in insurance sales. In addition to her father, Mrs. George was preceded in death by her husband, James Rickey George. Mrs. George is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Logan and Allison Shaw of Villa Rica and Keelyn Shaw of Carrollton; her parents, Anna and Gary Hampton of Villa Rica; her brother, Joseph Anthony “Tony” Bishop of Temple; her grandson, Lane Parker Shaw of Villa Rica; and her maternal grandmother, Imale Fischbach of Austell. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 1:00PM from the Villa Rica First United Methodist Church with Rev. James Smith officiating. Musical selections will be rendered by Gary Hampton and George Eidson. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00Noon until the service hour.
